Hi, I’m Porcha Barksdale, founder of Emerie’s Legacy.
The heart behind this business is my daughter, Emerie.
When I was pregnant with her, my journey was anything but easy. My placenta didn’t fully develop, which meant she wasn’t receiving the nutrients she needed to grow. At nearly every doctor’s appointment, I was told she might not survive. Those words were heartbreaking, but deep in my heart, I believed she would make it.
Emerie was born at just 28 weeks, and from the moment she entered this world, she proved everyone wrong. She fought with incredible strength, courage, and determination to be here. Watching her fight for her life changed me forever.
She became my reason to dream bigger.
Because she fought so hard to live, I made it my mission to build a life that would create opportunities for her far beyond what I could have imagined. She inspires me every single day to work harder, think bigger, and leave behind something meaningful. I want her to grow up knowing that she is capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to, and I hope the legacy I’m building reminds her that no dream is too big to pursue.
That is how Emerie’s Legacy was born.
Emerie’s Legacy is more than a natural skincare company. It represents resilience, hope, perseverance, and the belief that something beautiful can grow from life’s hardest moments. Every product is thoughtfully crafted with natural ingredients and made with care because I believe what we put on our bodies matters. My goal is to create products that help people care for their skin while also reminding them to care for themselves.
